Patient Specific Insoles (Custom Orthoses)
What are and why might I need custom foot orthoses?
Custom-made (bespoke) foot orthoses are devices usually made of various types of cushioning material or sometimes more rigid supportive materials that replace the thin insole found in many shoes.
The orthoses are designed to relieve pressure points and to help stabilise and correct your foot position. You may benefit from orthoses if you suffer from any of the symptoms below.
Heel pain (plantar fasciitis) Heel spurs Ankle pain Knee pain Over pronation (flat foot) Supination (rolling out of the foot) Forefoot pain (metatarsalgia)
Orthoses can help relieve these symptoms by providing support, improving the biomechanical function of your foot and relieving pressure. This allows you to keep active for longer and as your foot is now functioning properly, the pain of muscle strain or pressure points is reduced.
Our orthoses are prescribed by hundreds of clinicians and worn by thousands of patients across the UK. Each pair are specifically manufactured for you by our team of skilled technicians, using the latest CAD CAM technology combined with traditional hand finishing skills.
If you have already been provided with a pair of bespoke orthoses by the NHS and wish to purchase an exact same pair, simply call Kinetec on (01252) 931980 or contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and the reference number of the orthoses. We will take an initial deposit and a final payment when they are made.
