Description

Fast-Lite Leg Splint

Convenient:

• The orthosis can be heated quickly and moulded on the patient significantly faster than moulding from scratch. It can be spot heated and trimmed to make easy adjustments.

• The material is extremely lightweight, creating a more comfortable orthosis for the patient.

• In only 20 minutes your patient’s limb will be fully supported.

Rigid & Strong:

• Fast-Lite is an extremely rigid material. Use significantly less material for equal strength compared to other splinting and casting materials on the market.

Long-term immobilization is often needed for fractured limbs, after surgery or in some cases for affected ligaments, tendons, joints and for neurological problems. It is important to choose the right material for the best end-result, offering the clinician and other medical trained staff the best possible basis to achieve this.

Fast-Lite is a long-lasting product offering the patient comfort such as being lightweight and breathable, with no harmful substances in the material. How to use Fast-Lite

Fast-Lite is easy to use and provides clinicians with a preformed option for quick patient fitting. It becomes soft for molding with heat activation in a water bath set at 65°C.

• Check the sizing of the patient. If the splint is too big you can mark where to cut it, soften the material in the splint pan and cut to size.

• Apply stockinette and padding to the patient.

• Place the Fast-Lite into the bath for 20-30 seconds so the material softens. It is important to start with the joint of the splint, so that it fits well with the heel or elbow.

• Mould around the patient, ensuring the joint fits well.

• The working time is 3-4 minutes, with 20 minutes for it to be fully set.
