About Kinetec France

For over 40 years, Kinetec has been based in Charleville-Mézières, France, building a strong heritage in rehabilitation and orthopaedic technology. Today, the French office plays an important role in supporting Kinetec’s growing network of customers and partners across Europe.

Kinetec was founded by physiotherapist Jean-Claude Pecheux, who originally supplied orthopaedic traction frames under the name Cogemo. Inspired by Dr Robert Salter’s pioneering research into Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) therapy, Pecheux developed the first Kinetec knee CPM device in 1978, initially supplying the French market.

Following its early success, Kinetec began expanding internationally through exhibitions and medical congresses, introducing its rehabilitation technology to customers around the world. Today, the Kinetec France team continues this legacy, supporting a wide range of European markets with expertise, products, and customer service.
